2/23/2010 - Credit card fraud

Need To Identify

On 01/14/10 the victim’s wallet was stolen from the Cracker Barell on SR 64 in Manatee County.

The card was then used  at two separate banks, one in Manatee County and one on Fruitville Road in Sarasota. The pictured suspect was captured on video. The  individual made a large cash advance from the victim’s account.

1/9/2010 - ROBBERY

The Sarasota Sheriffs Office is currently investigating an Attempted Robbery with a Firearm and an Aggravated Battery which occurred on January 9, 2010 at approximately midnight. 

The victim, Thomas J. Mills born 12-1-88, was walking on Powell Circle near Newtown Blvd. in Newtown Estates. While in this area Mills observed a black four-door sedan stop next to him.  Two armed and masked individuals got out of the sedan and approached Mills. 

The two armed individuals ultimately shot Mills after they demanded money from him and couldn’t get it.  The armed individuals got back into the sedan and fled the area.  The injury was not life threatening after receiving treatment from the hospital. 

The driver was described as a black male, 5’5” tall, and 190 lbs.  The driver was wearing a black t-shirt, dark pants, a ski type mask, and carrying an semi-automatic type firearm.   The passenger was a black male, approximately 20 years of age, 6’ tall, and 170 lbs. 

The passenger was wearing black gloves, a black t-shirt, a ski type mask, and carrying a silver revolver.

12/8/2009 - Bank Robbery

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who robbed Englewood Bank, 1805 Englewood Rd (SR776) in Englewood, just before 3:00 p.m. on 12/08/09 

Deputies are searching for a white female, approximately in her 40`s, 5’3"-5’5" tall, with brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a blue and white checkered shirt, red hat and sunglasses. Witnesses say she was possibly trying to look like a man. She was last seen on foot leaving the bank.

3/7/2009 - MURDER

$1000 REWARD

Crime Stoppers of Sarasota is offering a reward of $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the unknown suspect (s) responsible for the MURDER of 30 year old Sharley J. Abu-Joudeh.

On Saturday, March 7, 2009, Sharley J. Abu-Joudeh, a mother of three, was murdered at her residence located at 2570 Chester Avenue Sarasota, Florida. Sharley was last seen by her friends at the Hall nightclub in Palmetto, at around 4:00 am Saturday morning.

Individuals wishing to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward are asked to "SUBMIT a WEB TIP" if they have any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the suspect (s) responsible for the murder of Sharley J. Abu-Joudeh
